With rapid population growth in Sub Saharan Africa associated looming unemployment of the youth and increasing tensions between farming and herding communities because the availability of land for use and water resource is unreliable due to climate change. There is need to restore land and protect the environment for sustainable living.
In 2023, the UN held a climate change convention that led to a consensus on developing pathways towards the reduction of Deforestation and to achieve global carbon neutrality by 2060 (Xu et al.2022). Our Solution
Bamboo has over 10,000 value added products which has the potential to create employment for all section of life including Youth, Elderly persons and People with Disabilities. Bamboo is key part of biodiverse ecosystem and anti desertification.
We're empowering Communities and Protecting the Environment
We foster sustainable development by engaging rural farmers in bamboo cultivation, generating green jobs and addressing multiple SDGs. We produce bamboo charcoal briquettes to combat deforestation and promote clean energy (SDG7 and SDG12), replacing high carbon footprint materials in construction (SDG11), and leveraging bamboo's rapid growth to enhance climate resilience and land conservation (SDG13 and SDG15), thereby reducing poverty through economic opportunities (SDG1).
